The Dow Jones and The Dow(n)turn

I bought a newspaper this morning.  That's something I don't ordinarily do.  This one, I had to see, however, after looking at what happened to the stock market(s) yesterday.
I think it's a little hard for anyone to miss a drop of almost another three-hundred points on the Dow Jones Index.  The papers are making note of it... but I do not believe they are going to be willing to pay attention to just how much the market is falling now (or has fallen thus far) under their beloved President Obama.

It frightens me just how much people are willing to ignore the facts.  It is very clear (based on their behavior) that the market does not like our new Commander-in-Chief, or his plans for 'stimulating' the economy.  We've been slipping downhill, and I think our slip is about to become a slide.

I work for an accountant (a CPA, in fact) and I find my employer (very) upset by what is going on with the government right now ( 'stimulus package' and all...).  "What is a person going to do with eight dollars a week?"  Agreeing with him is very easy, considering he's absolutely right.

What good will eight dollars a week do anyone?  Perhaps you could pay for some of your groceries?

Anyone have any points of their own (opinions and otherwise) to make on the matter?

Please do so!

-A.
